Design and Access Statements

Helping You Evaluate Site Potential With Confidence

Design and Access Statements (DAS) are required to support certain planning applications. These statements detail what design processes have been followed to arrive at the proposed design. They usually cover the location of development, surrounding uses, design policies, the amount of development proposed, scale, layout, appearance, landscaping and access. It can also detail any consultation that has been undertaken such as pre-application advice and any community engagement.

In undertaking this service, we would require close liaison with the appointed architect to ensure we have a full understanding of the proposals. This will allow sufficient detail to be included in the document. It will also allow us to make any suggestions that could result in the development being more acceptable in planning terms if required.
